Webinar To Discuss Services for Victims of Sexual Abuse in Detention

November 8, 2013

On November 13, 2013, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET, the Vera Institute of Justice and Just Detention International, in collaboration with the National PREA Resource Center, will present the Webinar "Developing Partnerships with Community-Based Service Providers." Presenters will discuss ways that correctional facilities can incorporate victim service providers into their sexual abuse prevention and response efforts. Partners may include local rape crisis centers, community-based victim service providers, and state agencies to ensure that victims of sexual abuse in correctional facilities have access to victim advocates. This is the first in a two-part series on implementing the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA).
