Webinar To Explore Strategies To Address DMC and Asian and Pacific Islander Youth

STTAC LogoOn January 30, 2014, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., ET, OJJDP's State Training and Technical Assistance Center will present "Examining Disproportionate Minority Contact for Asian/Pacific Islander Youth: Strategies to Effectively Address DMC." Presenters, including Andrea Coleman, OJJDP's Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC) Coordinator, will discuss national data on Asian and Pacific Islander (API) youth in the juvenile justice system, unique characteristics of API youth, their rates of DMC and the stereotypes that lead to their contact with the system, and strategies for effectively working with this diverse population.
