Department of Education Announces Funding for Project Prevent Grant Program

Dept. of Education logoThe U.S. Department of Education has announced nearly $10 million in funding for the Project Prevent Grant Program. This program will provide grants to local educational agencies to increase their capacity to identify, assess, and provide mental health services to students exposed to pervasive violence; support conflict resolution programs; and implement school-based prevention strategies that reduce the likelihood that these students will commit future acts of violence. Applications are due by June 30, 2014.
