Webinar To Discuss Educational Assistance for Homeless Children of Incarcerated Parents

LogoOn May 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. ET, the National Center for Homeless Education (NCHE), funded by the U.S. Department of Education, will present "Children of Incarcerated Parents Experiencing Homelessness: How the McKinney-Vento Act Can Help." The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act outlines educational rights and services available to youth experiencing homelessness. Presenters will discuss the Homeless Assistance Act, youth eligibility, and how schools and service providers can support the education of homeless children of incarcerated parents.
