Registration Open for NCJFCJ Conference and Preconference Workshop

NCJFCJ Conference logoOn July 13-16, 2014, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) will hold its 77th Annual Conference “From Surviving to Thriving: Healthy Families, Healthy Courts,” in Chicago, IL. The conference will feature a range of juvenile and family law topics, including child abuse and neglect, trauma, sex trafficking of minors, children’s testimony in court, custody and visitation, and the adolescent brain.

OJJDP Administrator Robert L. Listenbee is an invited speaker and will address the future of juvenile justice in his plenary presentation on July 16.

NCJFCJ’s free preconference workshop “Special Considerations for Working With Adolescents With Substance Abuse Issues” will take place on July 13 and will offer evidence-based, developmentally appropriate strategies to address the needs of justice-involved youth who have mental health, substance abuse, or trauma issues.
