Reforming Juvenile Justice: A Developmental Approach cover

In 2010, OJJDP commissioned the National Research Council (NRC) to review recent advances in behavioral and neuroscience research and to draw out the implications of this knowledge for juvenile justice reform. OJJDP also asked the council to assess the new generation of reform activities occurring in the United States and examine OJJDP’s role in carrying out its statutory mission and its potential role in supporting scientifically based reform efforts. On July 26, 2013, NRC presented a summary of its findings and recommendations at a meeting of the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. More
