The CJRP captures information on the number of days since admission for each juvenile in residential placement. These data represent the number of days the juvenile had been in the facility up to the census date (February 24, 2010). Because the data are not based on a release cohort, the complete length of stay cannot be determined.
After 60 days, 28% of detained person offenders remained in custody.
Time-in-placement patterns largely overlapped for detained youth held for drug offenses, status offenses, and technical violations.
