Presents key findings summarized in OJJDP's Bulletin series on the Second National Incidence Studies of Missing, Abducted, Runaway, and Thrownaway Children (NISMART–2). NISMART consists of several complementary studies designed to estimate the size and nature of the Nation's missing children problem. The four Bulletins highlighted in this Fact Sheet include National Estimates of Missing Children: An Overview; Nonfamily Abducted Children: National Estimates and Characteristics; Children Abducted by Family Members: National Estimates and Characteristics; and Runaway/Thrownaway Children: National Estimates and Characteristics.
